Have a hobby

Hobbies are a constant source of interest and provide two vital components of life:

Consistency and play.

Eliza collects old books, and she has all sorts of books adorning her shelves at home, some of them are my personal favorites, some are rare first editions, and some are books she just loves to browse. For Eliza, all books are a source of entertainment and a source of connection with all sorts of people she meets. Every city she visits is a source of adventure, and she visits antique shops and used book stores, adding to her collection. What does collecting books mean to Eliza? It keeps me connected to history, to the people I meet, to exchange books with, and most importantly, I just love having books around.

In studies of thousands of adults, those who have a hobby are 6% more likely to rate their lives as positive and fulfilling.
