Nuzul Al Quran is a Muslim festival to remember the day when Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) received his first revelation of Islam’s sacred book, the holy Quran. As per scholars, the date of revelation is unknown to the Muslim community, but many hadiths suggest that the holy Quran was revealed in the last 10 odd nights of Ramadan. However, some Islamic scholars suggest the origination of Islam as religion took place 17th of Ramadan, with the descent of the holy Quran. The day is known as Nuzul Al Quran and carries immense significance in Muslims worldwide.

Nuzul means the descent of something special. Therefore, Nuzul Al Quran means the descent of the holy book of Quran from heaven to earth. The act signifies the revelation of the Quran to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) by Angel Jibrail.
