After many attempts and using several ways to prevent Prophet Muhammed PBUH from spreading the message of Allah, the tribe of guraish failed countless of times as the message the prophet beheld was far stronger as it came from a divine source. This led to a meeting between the clans of the tribe of Guraish, as they decided that they would choose a armed man out of each clan to attack the prophet at night, while he is asleep and kill him. They decided that if they were successful at killing him, then the blood of the prophet would be lost because numerous men attacked the prophet and Banu Hashem would not be able to receive their right to what had occurred Muhammed PBUH.

Allah knew of their intentions and their plan to attack the prophet, therefore he ordered the angel Gabriel to tell the prophet to leave Mecca and go to Medina. this is where the holy verse was revealed to the prophet as it said "وَإذْ يَمْكُرُ بِكَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لِيُثْبِتُوكَ أَوْ يَقْتُلُوكَ أَوْ يُخْرِجُوكَ وَيَمْكُرُونَ وَيَمْكُرُ اللّهُ وَاللّهُ خَيْرُ الْمَاكِرِينَ" from this verse, the prophet understood the intentions of Guraish, so in order to save his life he called for his cousin Imam Ali AS and told him about the evil plan and told him that Allah had chosen him to sleep in place of the prophet this night, while the Prophet leaves Mecca to go to Medina. Imam Ali asked the prophet if by doing this, the life of the prophet would be secured and when the prophet answered yes, the Imam thanked Allah and told the Prophet he is willing to give up his life for his and Allah's sake. When Imam Ali said this to the prophet this holy verse was revealed: " ومن الناس من يشري نفسه ابتغاء مرضات الله والله روف بالعباد"

After this, the prophet left his house after guraish had surrounded his house, but no one saw him as he repeatedly said " وَجَعَلْنَا مِن بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ سَدًّا وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ سَدًّا فَأَغْشَيْنَاهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُبْصِرُونَ" when the prophet left, Guraish attacked his house with weapons and went towards the prophets room. However when they got there instead of seeing the prophet, they saw Imam Ali as he got to ready to fight them, which caused them to go back. When Guraish realized that their plan had failed again, they attempted to follow possible paths in the desert in hopes of finding and killing the prophet. however Allah prevented them from finding the prophet as he entered into a cave called "Thor", and when Guraish came near this cave, Allah made it appear to be very ancient by having a spider build a large thick spider web on the entrance of the cave. This was so that they do not suspect that anyone could have entered, and so they left immediately.

Allah saved his Holy messenger Prophet Muhammed PBUH from danger, and the prophet finally reached a safe destination which was yathrab, on the 12th day of rabee al awal. After the prophet settled in Medina he wrote to Imam Ali in a letter asking him to come to Medina along with Fatima his daughter, Fatima his mother, and Fatima the daughter of Zubayer. When Imam Ali left Mecca, a group of men from Guraish followed him and upon seeing them Imam Ali knew who they were and said to them: "I am going to my cousin who is prophet Muhammed, so whoever wants me to kill him has the right to follow me or come near me." When they heard this, the men became scared and went back to Mecca. After this Imam Ali continued his trip to Medina and every time he arrived at a stop to rest, he thanked Allah continuously. when they arrived in Medina another verse was revealed which was " فَاسْتَجَابَ لَهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ أَنِّي لَا أُضِيعُ عَمَلَ عَامِلٍ مِنْكُمْ مِنْ ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَىٰ ۖ بَعْضُكُمْ مِنْ بَعْضٍ".

After all this the Prophet PBUH and the Muslims welcomed back Imam Ali and the Fawatim with a great amount of joy.
