Apple plans to launch a new update to iOS 17 in order to fix the problem of overheating in the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, according to an official statement issued by the company, published by the American Forbes magazine.

Apple added that the problem was caused by recent updates to external applications, which contributed to increased load on the operating system and an increase in the temperature of the devices beyond the normal limit.

The applications that caused the problem include Instagram and Uber, in addition to the popular game Asphalt 9: Legends.

Apple said it is working with the developers of these applications to solve the problem.

Forbes magazine added in its report that Meta fixed the problem in the Instagram application, in an update issued to the application last Wednesday.

Apple said that new iPhones may become “warmer” than expected during the first days after setting up or restoring the phone, and this is considered a normal situation in new iPhones, due to increased system activity in the background, and it is considered a temporary condition.

This is considered the first official reaction from Apple after the launch of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max phones, and complaints about the problem have escalated in recent days.

It is expected that the overheating problem will be resolved with the iOS 17.1 update that is currently available in the beta phase, or the iOS 17.0.3 update soon.

Apple did not comment on the reports that pointed the finger at the Apple A17 Pro processor or the design of the new iPhone 15 Pro phones made of titanium.
