The family is defined as an institution or social organization that arises from a marital bond between a woman and a man, in which the family members, namely the spouses, the children, and sometimes the grandparents and grandchildren, live in a peaceful coexistence filled with serenity, friendliness, humanity, understanding, solidarity, and cooperation.

Family members have unity in purpose, style, and course of life, and its general policy is usually regulated by an individual whom we call the head of the family, the head of the family, or its head. The family product regulates the lives of women and men, childbirth, raising children, and establishing calm and tranquility, which are essential factors for preparing and entering the new generation into the field of social life.

Sociologists have pointed out that the family is a strong fortress and an essential pillar in society, because it is the place in which the first building block of society is placed and through which feelings and emotions are controlled. Today’s child, who will be an influential member of the society of the future, receives the first lessons of individual and social life there.

Psychologists believe that what a person learns in the family, especially during childhood, will remain with him almost always and forever, to the extent that some of them believe that more than 70% of the moral and behavioral foundations relate to the period of childhood before the age of six years, and researchers specializing in crime have concluded that... What the parents do for the children and the circumstances and conditions they create for the adulthood and upbringing of the children, makes the child live in a state of complete surrender and complete submission in doing so, and pure love, friendliness and familial serenity direct this institution towards calm, serenity, stability, education, morals, and the child’s submission and submission.

The father represents the manifestation of justice and discipline, and the mother represents the manifestation of tenderness and affection, and these two can instill the moral and educational structure in the depth of the child through unity of conduct and understanding in conducting controls, which are difficult to disappear or fade in the face of stormy events, calamities and various social influences.

The methods and customs that the child learns in the family environment, the way of dealing that he learns there, and the emotions and feelings that he develops in him, will penetrate deep into him to the point that it will require many years of work to remove them.

Due to the great importance of the family and its basic teachings, we see the Commander of the Faithful, Ali, peace be upon him, addressing Malik bin Al-Ashtar, saying: (...stick to those who are chivalrous and virtuous, and people of good homes and good precedents..) Because the Imam, peace be upon him, knows very well that the effects of primary and family upbringing do not disappear easily. And quickly, what the individual learns in a good family will be constantly preserved and benefited from in the field of social life.
