My experience of dealing with professionals from education, social services, health and the voluntary sector over the last eight years continues to astound me. The range of emotions my family and I have had to cope with: from frustration to anger and disillusionment, makes me wonder whether having a child with cerebral palsy has made me a stronger or weaker person We encountered a range of problems when dealing with professionals from various services. My biggest bone of contention is those bright sparks who pass judgement on their clients without having full knowledge of the facts.
