Russian experts have created a substance that makes drones invisible to electronic warfare devices, according to Gleb Shipunov at Perm National Research Technological University.

"We created a multifunctional composite material with metal elements integrated into its structure to protect electronic devices in drones from electromagnetic radiation," Shipunov said in an interview with the Russian news agency TASS. This material also allows the drone to remain strong and light due to the use of carbon fibers, and also makes it invisible to electronic warfare devices.

It should be noted that the user of the drone loses the ability to control it in the area of use of electronic warfare equipment. Therefore, the innovators suggested a material that could become the basis for a system that allows the drone to be hidden from electronic warfare devices, while maintaining the possibility of exchanging messages between the user and the drone using optical techniques to transmit information and blocking the drone using special materials.
