The origin of our Islamic religion is that man should be adorned with good morals. The Noble Messenger (may Allah's prayers be upon him and his family) recommended this matter, and his call was built on this basis. It was reported from him: (I was sent only to perfect good morals).
The morals and behavior of children should be under supervision from the first days of childhood, and if there is any bad behavior or inappropriate morals on the part of the child, it should be a warning bell for the parents, as it requires that there be a quick and serious movement to remove and correct the defect. Among the methods of reform are the following:
First: Education: There is an important point that we must mention here, which is that children must first know the controls, regulations, manners, traditions, and methods of behavior. The child must gradually learn what is desirable behavior and what is undesirable behavior, what actions he must do, and what actions he must leave and avoid.
This matter represents the ABC of education, which parents must teach their children.
The child carries divine preparations and inspirations to accept what is bad and what is good, and the important thing is that he sees the role model in order to learn from it.
Second: The role model: Moral education can find its way to the child's soul through two ways:
First: The way of reminding and advising, which is a general and normal matter, as the parents, through orders and prohibitions and in a language that the child understands, can make the child understand what he should be in this area.
The second: is the role model, as it is considered the most important methods and ways to reform and raise children. This way is very influential, and more effective than the first way. Parents must provide the child with a practical model that the child can emulate in his behavior and actions. Likewise, by mentioning the stories and good deeds of some righteous heroes. This matter is likely to create a desire in the child to follow in the footsteps and traces of these people. The model or role model has a great impact and in important resources is considered an influential factor in the path of reforming and changing the child's psychological and moral thoughts.
3- Mixing with believers: One of the important ways to reform those with bad morals is to get them to mix with believers and good people so that they learn from them good manners and morals in a practical way. This is natural and realistic, as mixing with good and righteous people and accompanying adults results in happiness and success. The Noble Messenger (may God bless him and his family) said: “The happiest of people is he who mixes with the noblest of people.”
