In the real sense of cosmic history, the martyrdom of Imam Hussain is a mighty triumph, a wondrous victory. Who would know the name Yazid today except for the fact that he was responsible for the martyrdom of Imam Hussain? Otherwise he would just be another of the thousands of despots, tyrants, and bullies that have abused their authority, another footnote in the history of man. However by killing the Imam, the human model of goodness and bravery, has become the human model of injustice.

The tragedy of Karbala, the martyrdom of Imam Hussain, is one of those events of cosmic significance. Its lessons concern not just one group of men and their relationship to the world, but all mankind. It is a moral paradigm. It teaches sacrifice and opposition to injustice: it teaches integrity of purpose, love of family, gentleness, and bravery. In fact, in the account of the tragic journey and martyrdom of Imam Hussain, there are lessons in all the moral virtues. Perhaps the one that strikes

There is no Tolerable Upper Intake Level for water because the body can usually excrete extra water through urine or sweat. However, a condition called water toxicity is possible in rare cases, in which a large amount of fluids is taken in a short amount of time, which is faster than the kidney’s ability to excrete it. This leads to a dangerous condition called hyponatremia in which blood levels of sodium fall too low as too much water is taken.

Symptoms of dehydration that may occur with as little as a 2% water deficit:

Fatigue
Confusion or short-term memory loss
Mood changes like increased irritability or depression

Dehydration can increase the risk of certain medical conditions:

Urinary tract infections
Kidney stones
Gallstones
Constipation

On the Eve of Ashura, Imam Al-Husain (PBUH) gathered his companions and delivered a lecture informing them that they all would be martyred the next day. Qasim son of Imam Al-Hassan (PBUH) asked his uncle, Imam Al-Husain (PBUH), whether he would be martyred on Ashura. Imam asked him what he thought about death. He replied, Sweeter than honey. Imam responded, Yes, you will be martyred tomorrow.

Research has found that athletes, people who are ill, and infants may not have an adequate sense of thirst to replete their fluid needs. [2] Even mild dehydration may produce negative symptoms, so people who cannot rely on thirst or other usual measures may wish to use other strategies. For example, aim to fill a 20-ounce water bottle four times daily and sip throughout the day, or drink a large glass of water with each meal and snack.

A Cochrane review found that commonly used indicators of dehydration in older adults (e.g., urine color and volume, feeling thirsty) are not effective and should not be solely used. [3] Certain conditions that impair mental ability and cognition, such as a stroke or dementia, can also impair thirst.
People may also voluntarily limit drinking due to incontinence or difficulty getting to a bathroom.

Islam teaches belief in angels, who are obedient servants of Allah. It was the Angel Gabriel, the angel of revelation that revealed Allah’s direct words, the Holy Qur’an, to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) over a period of many years. Muslims believe in many other angels such as the Archangels Michael, Raphael, and Izrā’il.

An example of a behavioral prompt is water temperature; research suggests that people tend to drink the most water when it is served at room temperature even though cooler drinks are rated as most pleasing to taste. We are also often influenced to drink (and eat) more in social settings.
As we age, however, the body’s regulation of fluid intake and thirst decline. Research has shown that both of these factors are impaired in the elderly.

There are no eternally chosen races, ethnic groups or favored nation of God according to Islam. Each person and entire groups or nations have an opportunity to become the beloved of God by practicing the best conduct and sincere faith. The best people in the world are those who are the most righteous regardless of any other traits. Hence, entire nations are not accursed. The opportunity to be the best is open to all of us if we work towards it with true sincerity.

Keep in mind that about 20% of our total water intake comes not from beverages but from water-rich foods like lettuce, leafy greens, cucumbers, bell peppers, summer squash, celery, berries, and melons.
A healthy body is designed to send thirst signals when the body becomes depleted of fluids. Thirst is the desire to drink, and is not only driven by physiological cues but behavioral cues.

Scientific inquiry is promoted by the Holy Qur’an which encourages reflection and thinking. The Holy Qur’an incorporates religious truths, history, commandments, and the description of natural phenomena, such as the big bang theory, the development of the human embryo, and the creation of all life forms from water, just to name a few. There is no contradiction of any current scientific truth with any statement of the Holy Qur’an.
